Bandelin, Brian
Senior Educator, Center for Professional Development @ ITT Tech (CPD)In April 2005, Brian joined the Center for Professional Development @ ITT Tech (CPD) team. Brian is ITIL certified, and his teaching spans a wide array of classes at our facility – everything from Excel and Access to VBA, SQL, SharePoint and many others. Brian has earned the title Microsoft Certified Application Specialist Master, having displayed a combination of breadth and depth of knowledge across all Microsoft Office products. Brian has taught or consulted with thousands of users throughout Minnesota and the U.S. His knowledge of SQL and VBA has helped him troubleshoot difficult issues for clients, and assist them in creating databases from the ground up. Having taught SQL for the past 8 years, Brian can help troubleshoot SQL queries from SQL Server, Crystal Reports, SQL Server Reporting Services and Microsoft Access. In short, if it has SQL in it, Brian can help train it and troubleshoot it. His ‘beyond the book’ knowledge has helped clients save time and effort by being able to suggest anything from best practice solutions to some that are more unorthodox.

Vice President of Technical Services, Cyber AdvisorsAn engineer at heart, Paul utilizes 20 years of technical expertise to help drive his consulting team into new technologies and capabilities. With experience ranging from fiber-optic installation on naval carriers to disaster recovery design for multi-site manufacturing, Paul has seen much of the growth and transition of technology. He is a Microsoft VTSP and a certified Microsoft MEC facilitator. As both, he discusses technology with clients large and small.

Greg has spoken at TechFuse in the past. Richard has previously spoken at the Lync Conference in 2014, MindSurf in 2013 and Ask the Experts at Microsoft Ignite in 2015.

Bob brings over 20 years of IT and training experience into his classroom at the Center for Professional Development @ ITT Tech (CPD). He receives rave reviews, no matter the format: in front of a classroom of students, over the internet via remote tools or in a mentoring or consulting situation. Bob played a key role in Microsoft’s MCDST curriculum development and has created custom course material for key clients. He has developed, designed and delivered courses on Windows 2008 R2 PKI course, Windows 2008 Hyper-V, Clustering and System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2008. Bob is also the lead instructor for Hyper-V, Clustering, SCVMM 2012R2, Windows Server 2012R2, Windows 8.1 technologies, Office 365 and Azure IaaS. When he’s not in the classroom or writing curriculum, he provides Windows networks mentoring and consultative services to small, medium and enterprise-sized businesses; various government, K thru 12 and higher-education organizations, just to name a few.

Lu rejoined the Center for Professional Development @ ITT Tech (CPD) team after spending a year implementing System Center 2012 components for a diverse group of organizations. Using her extensive IT experience, which spans 30+ years, she is able to provide real-life scenarios in the classroom and problem-solve IT issues at client sites. In addition to core operating systems, Lu teaches how the components of System Center can specifically be used to solve business problems. Using a full understanding of ITIL and MOF, she helps companies bridge the gap between theory and practical application. Lu has co-authored PowerShell for Administrators and has written PowerShell v2 for Administrators. She regularly supports the hands-on labs area at Microsoft’s premier technical education conference, TechEd (Ignite). She has also supported the hands-on labs at Microsoft’s internal technical education conference, TechReady. In 2010, Lu was invited to speak on PowerShell v2 at the UK Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) Summit. She is the author of System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Skills Update for SMS 2003 Administrators, Microsoft Windows PowerShell v2 for Administrators, and Monitoring Your Environment with Operations Manager 2007. Lu also holds the ITIL Expert qualification.

She also spent 3.5 years running her own business. Her IT background serves her well at CPD as she is the primary project management and business analysis instructor on staff, and teaches the ITIL suite of courses. Gail is a certified project management professional (PMP) and holds the ITIL Expert certification.

While his job involves teaching, his business helps professionals grow their careers. He mentors others outside the classroom, helping them solve their technology issues. He generalizes in “all things SQL Server”, but mentors others with: SQL Server migrations and upgrades, performance tuning and monitoring; database maintenance; and creating standard, multidimensional and tabular report models. In support of SQL Server technologies, he teaches PowerShell and Active Directory; he has been doing so since the beginning of these technologies. John maintains his MCT, MCSE: Data Platform, MCSE: Business Intelligence and MCSA: Windows Server certifications.
